This policy explains how Octagon9 handles information when you use Shadow, our employee self-service app for organizations that use Odoo.

Information used by Shadow

Shadow uses the information needed to sign you in and provide the features enabled by your organization. This can include account and employee details, information you submit through a request, and the status or response to that request. Your organization operates the connected Odoo system and controls its employee records and workflows.

How information is used

Information is used to operate Shadow, send your requests to your organization's Odoo system, return request updates to you, and provide support. Requests and approvals are handled through the connected Odoo environment according to your organization's settings.

Sharing and advertising

Shadow is not supported by advertising, and Octagon9 does not sell personal information. Information submitted in Shadow is made available to the organization and Odoo environment that you connect to so that the requested work can be completed.

Storage and security

Information is transmitted between Shadow and the services required to provide it. Your organization is responsible for its Odoo account, access permissions, and retention settings. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information handled by Shadow. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and account deletion

You can request deletion from the account settings in Shadow. If you cannot access the app, contact hello@octagon9.com from the email associated with your account and include your organization name. Your organization may retain records in its Odoo system under its own policies and legal obligations.

Children

Shadow is intended for employees using the service through their organization, not for children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Shadow changes. The effective date above shows when the current version was published.
